Floppy Cat is a charming story based on the life of a REAL cat that didn't fit in! Instead of running, leaping and pouncing like all the other cats, Floppy would stumble from side to side as he traveled across the farmyard.  (Check out the Floppy Cat video)  Every step that he took was a challenge, but somehow he always seemed to keep a positive, never give up attitude.   Many times, while the other cats would be basking in the sun for their afternoon nap, Floppy could be seen flopping across the farmyard, exploring every nook and cranny, searching for a new and exciting adventure.  Floppy's attitude was very evident – Enjoy Life!  As you read the Floppy Cat book, hopefully both you and your child will be inspired to find the FLOPPY CAT inside of YOU!

What a great book for teaching!  Floppy Cat teaches kids to embrace their differences… should be in every kindergarten classroom…

About the Author

Kari Kay is a vivacious lover of life!!! Shortly after having seen the movie “The Secret”, and training with the world renowned teacher Bob Proctor, she decided she wanted to share these great ideas with kids and parents alike. Having experienced many great adventures on the farm with her two sons and many pets (including the real floppy) she came up with the idea of creating the floppy cat series. She is creatively working to share her knowledge through more books, songs, and an interactive web site that will continually bring joy and happiness to you and your child.

As a parent of two young children, it is so important for me to help my kids know that they are special and appreciated and that they were each created with their own unique gifts.  Reading the Floppy Cat story gives me a great way for to help them understand that!

About the Illustrator

Kevin Riley is creative, witty and fun loving - a perfect match for Floppy Cat. After reading the Floppy Cat story and meeting the real Floppy, Kevin became flopified. His amazing illustrations portray Floppy purrrfectly! Kevin's work has appeared on Nickelodeon, Noggin, the Cartoon Network and Discovery Kids channels. His numerous professional awards include 25 Addy awards and an Emmy for "Outstanding Animation in a Children's Television Program". Kevin is currently directing a popular discovery kids show called Kenny the Shark and serves as Animation Director at Spectrum Video Productions.

This is a fun filled story for kids that gives a positive message.  It tells kids to have confidence and believe in yourself, and then you can do whatever you put your mind to. Floppy did, why can't you!
